FOODBANK - LOAVES & FISHES
Every second and forth Wednesdays of the month. (Postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic.)
Ewa Beach United Methodist Church has been supporting local communities through the volunteer works of operating a foodbank with Hawaii Foodbank. Called "Loaves and Fishes", it opens twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesdays. We distribute canned goods and sometimes frozen food items from restaurants like "Aloha Harvest". Our hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. We distribute bags of food to about 450 people a month. In addition, we serve breakfast to about fifty people from 8:00 AM until the food runs out. Breakfast can be fried rice or pancakes with sausage or scrambled eggs with sausage or cold cereal with fruits.
